Default MSD Atomic AirForce LS7 Intakes Now Available!

http://www.texas-speed.com/p-4570-ms...-manifold.aspx

I'm proud to announce the first batch of Atomic LS7 intake manifolds are shipping to vendors! We have 14 still available that will arrive next week! If you want your name on one give us a call or order online! Then following week another 25 will be available!!

From MSD:
When you’re serious about power for your LS7 engine, call in the AirForce! The all-new MSD Atomic AirForce intake manifold delivers improved airflow and distribution to improve the performance of stock and modified engines.

The unique bell-mouthed runner entrances maximize airflow and minimize shrouding - all while optimizing the available plenum volume for an unobstructed flow path over opposing runners. The polymer molded 2-piece design allows for easy access to the runners for porting.

Atomic AirForce accepts an OEM or 103mm throttle body as well as stock or aftermarket fuel rails including MSD’s Atomic LS EFI system. The intake bolts on and is supplied with new gaskets and hardware for a direct bolt-on package.

Do you guys plan on doing any of your own testing? Also curious when the LS1 MSD intake will be at Texas Speed.

Damn right. Kinda hard to buy something when NO TESTS exist for the product.

Yeah, there should be tests done before they're available. I just don't see anyone spending THEIR $ on it if they don't know any results.

In all honesty, this market, this price, it HAS to be competitive or there is no reason to release it at all. Im fairly confident it will be a contender.....that is of course before fast decided on interchangeable runners which takes the crown for overall versatility.

Yeah, I agree Steve. (Nice wheels by the way!!)

I just REALLY want to see something definitive, even on a mild H/C setup.

Jason, any plans to throw one on the dyno?

There has been some testing done guys. Lingenfelter did the testing and it's what MSD has been using to claim the HP/TQ gains over the "competitor" intake. With that said, I want LS1 testing on a heads/cam setup to see it the gains are that drastic.

We are possibly looking at testing on a co-worker's ZO6 with a head/cam pkg next week. We will post the results once they are available.

I want to see the LS3 results myself. The Fast was subpar on that head.

We need another round of intake testing when fast releases their shorter runners.

Another thing that leads me to believe the MSD intakes are no joke, and make more power than the FAST intakes, is because FAST came out with the interchangeable runners of different lengths, which is something they wouldn't have had to do if they weren't threatened by the MSD intake.

For sure ROTP.....shorter runners have been something badly needed for a good while now. I ain't skeered to turn mine.

Any cathedral port results out yet? I would like to see what one would do for a bolt-on ls6.

+5 or however many have already asked for more testing. A Lingenfelter long block can be one of the higher volume air movers depending on the engine package. As one would expect, MSD has advertised a best case scenario.

In regards to testing on an LS1; it doesn't appear to be the target market for this intake. IDK, why it would be. Other than having adjustable runners in order to fine tune under the curve, the best LS1 intakes already exist. The "Street Warrior" learned that expensive lesson.
