front exit exhaust without a turbo?
I'm thinking about doing front exit exhaust. But I don't have a turbo. I need the back pressure though. Its a track only car. Just for bracket racing. Like it or hate it fender exit doesn't kick up dust and dirty up the car at some po-dunk race track that's dusty. And ground clearance. Just not sure about sound and performance.? Any thoughts?
Why do you think you need the back pressure on a track only car? Depending on your cars power range it will likely make little difference and may even hurt performance. What's your setup?
You could also run oval exhaust out the side if ground clearance is an issue. http://www.spintechmufflers.com/oval...ng/cat_41.html
Stock bottom end. Ls6 intake. Stock 243 heads. 525lift cam 228duration. Powerglide w/ transbreak. 4.30 gear. 3200 stall. In a 2600lb g body. And I was concerned about o2 sensor position reading correctly. And sounding like ***
here is a idle clip with long tubes under it. bullet mufflers and dumped in front the axle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UiK...ature=youtu.be

Oval pipe wouldn't hang down to far or you could run something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/BOOM-TUBE-EXHAUST-RIGHT-SIDE-EXIT-DUAL-3-5-INLETS-21-5-C-TO-C-68-LONG-ARCA-/121420658450?hash=item1c453c3712&vxp=mtr
I guess I don't see how you're going to get front exit headers to work any better than rear exit without making the pipe look like a slinky under the hood.
