Default Loudest Exhaust?

I am looking to replace the exhaust on my 99 TA. The current exhaust, which was on it when I bought it, has a nice growl, but I want something REALLY loud! I want people to hear me coming from blocks away! Would love some advice on the loudest exhaust I can get. Thanks.

i am going to tell you one thing... my set-up is so freakin loud even i cant handle it.
I have the cat-bypass pipes (no cats), and a flowmaster muffler...but i also got a cutout. with the cutout capped it isnt bad @ all, but with it uncapped, HOLY ****!
people say they hear me coming from probably about 5-6 blocks away. If your looking for loudness, then go the same route i went.. u wont be disapointed... You will lose a little bit of takeoff power though.

headers, no cats, and a LM.....thats the loudest full exhaust you can get....

if you want louder then stick to electric cutouts after the headers collectors......

Loudest exhaust you can get. Not too sure on the sound though. If you don't use cats it's insane. VERY loud and raspy and a lot of people think it sounds like ****. If you use good high flow cats it should sound wicked.

Best sounding exhaust you can get. Quite loud too.

My exhaust setup is pretty damn loud, IMO... the people who stage behind me at the track always comment on how loud and good my car sounds on launch and when going down the track.

LT headers with Lane's 3" true duals, Dr. Gas X pipe, and Flo-Pro twisters. It's loud, and it doesn't sounds like *** like the LM + LT's does. Sorry guys, rasp sounds like ****. I hate to break it to you!

I agree. Of course, this IS an opinion topic, but i think the consensus opinion will be for longtubes, no cats, and duals. If you don't think it's the best sounding but you havn't heard one yet, don't assume whatever you have/heard was better. I hate rasp, sounds like a pickup with no muffler to me, hicks run around here with straight pipes on pickups blaring like it's cool to be loud and sound like absolute ***.

True duals rock!

PS I had the loudmouth and loved it, but with headers came duals and i couldn't be happier with the sound.

I get many complements on my exhaust. It's loud but not too loud: I was recently measured at 95 db about 30 feet to the side. I have two Dynomax bullets, one right off each header collector, no cats. Then the 3 inch duals dump into a 4 inch flowmaster y pipe a bit farther back than stock, so it's duals back to the rear seat. I have the output of the 4 inch Y collector going directly into a Borla XR1 with 4 inch input and output, then a single 4 inch tailpipe goes over the rear axle. Everything is stainless steel from Stainless Works except for the Y collector. No rasp, just a roar! I've tried many different exhaust systems, and this one sounds the best so far.

I have Hooker LTs with a 3 inch ORY and a 4 inch flowmaster collector going back into a 3 inch I pipe...then dumping before the bend over the axle. Christ it's loud as hell. The home owner's association is pissed. Apparently I'm scaring quite a few neighbors with the damn thing uncapped. LOL! You want to hear a loud car...mine puts my roommate's heads/cam Z28 to shame.

You want loud? Go cutout before the rear axle. If you want that LS1 rasp in it, dump after the axle. Have fun!
