Default would a cutout helpout at all?

I have 1999 trans am. Ls1 has the following mods. 96mm intake manifold with a ported snout to fit a 102mm throttle body. 104mm air lid with k and n filter. Sd tuned so maf is delete has 4 inch coupler from lid to throttle body. 1 7/8 headers, full 3 inch exhaust with a Flowmaster. Now I know everyone hates flowmaster and says you lose power. So I was wondering if I put a single cutout after the y pipe but before the muffler would I see a power gain

Love my QTP...... I usually ride with it about 1/4 open. Get a little rumble with my dual/dual that way. Cruise night and shows..... Wide open!!!!

I have had mine for 3 years with zero issues. Mine is from Raceland and it's very well built

Too bad they don't have a 4" version. Might be tempted to try it.

All I ever had was issues from my QTP 4".

Ya I know what you're talking about with the electric cutout rattle but I have not ran into that issue with the one from race land.

FWIW I gained 5hp across the board with a 3" cutout open on the dyno vs closed through a full magnaflow catback. I had a summit brand cutout and it broke 2 times in less than a year so I took it out.

At the track I always run with it open now but when I was messing around a few years ago at the track I generally ran a tenth faster with it open.
Give the race land one a try if ya want another one

I might get another one eventually. I cut it out of my exhaust completely for a "cat" for emissions lol

Next time I go to the track I might just take my catback off and just run it with the y pipe open since it's essentially the same thing.
