Default how to mount alternator on early 6.0L iron block? holes dont match up!?

So I am finally to the point of bolting on the small stuff to get this car done and Just realized my BMR race alternator bracket for my 5.7 will not work on my early 6.0L block. (Its an 2002 iron block I think.) I see some people drill and tap the flat part on the outer edge of the front of the block where the boss is. thats fine. But on the BMR bracket it also has a bolt in close to the timing cover. my block does not even have a safe place to drill and tap. its not even possible. so what are you guys doing? the car has a race electric pump and just this alternator. thats it.

Help me out! post pics if you can!

Thanks.

You just dont use the bolt closest to the timing cover. Stock brackets have a hole there too, not using it is no problem at all. Its been fine on mine going on a couple years.

ok. if you say so, I'll try it. lol. I just thought it looked sketchy. What kind of power are you making and what RPM you spinning it to? never had it flex and belt fly off?

Rob is right. Mines been that way for years. Over 700rwhp, 7500 rpm, lots of nitrous and now twin turbos. Never thrown a belt.
