I never had a thought of the bassani system! how do you like?

Itd be nice to see the fit of both of these systems side by side
I agree!

After a little more research, it looks like the hooker design is much better than the bassani.... With far fewer bends.

If I was in the market for an exhaust I would definitely order one of these. Hopefully someone buys one and posts a clip and it sounds good, then I will be in the market for an exhaust. I was toying with building my own true duals this coming winter, but if this sounds good itll save me a ton of work.

doesn't say what type of torque arms it allows, might be good to check first

The other thread suggests all factory components work

I agree!
It took a little extra time to fit it nice and tight to the body. I think it is almost higher than the factory exhaust. I will have to take some pictures and a sound clip. It just has more muscle sound over just straight just loud ls1 sound. There is no rasp at all!!!!!!!! I wish I bought this first not the slp lm2 which will be for sale shortly for cheap.

Default Hooker Blackheart Dual Exaust for LS1?

I know they're getting a bunch of **** bc it's made to fit their new mid lengths, but with the design of them and all, I seriously doubt they're much off from any long tube, if at all. That other thread really went into good detail on all the R&D they put into the headers, and the duals as well.

You don't NEED dual 3" tubes... And I'm willing to bet those mid lengths will still punch quite the number and feel peppy as hell.

If someone was looking for a "one and done" exhaust system that's full stainless with the ability to retain all factory and all aftermarket suspension.... I think it's a no-brainier.

I agree. the mids aren't a turn off in my opinion. Everyone has this misconception about LTS being so much better. It isn't by any means a bad set up at all. Once I get some more cash. I'll want to buy this exhaust along with my heads and cam. cheaper than the bessani in the long run in my opinion. Plus you get the Hooker muscle car name embedded into your car.

This also is a great option. 2.5" dual still flows more than any 3"single cat back

the price of the mid length headers is the scary part, almost 600$

i have 1 7/8 speed engineering headers and a crappy looking but effective 2.5 true duel over axle exhaust with pypes M80s and i spent 700$ for all of that combined. (TD set up was done at a exhaust shop a friend works at)

And not mandrel bent which crimps down to 2.25 in places.

Not knocking yours but there is a reason the Hooker cost what it does. Which is still a good price imo

If I had a car I was starting to modify right now, I would jump on the Hooker mids and exhaust in a heartbeat. as it is, I am seriously considering getting the exhaust and modding it to my long tubes.

Sorry, I have to disagree. A friend of mine had them (Texas Speed duals) on his bolt on 00 z28 and it droned something awful until he switched back to a y pipe and catback.

I'm guessing that's because of the dumps.

Quoted for truth.

I need 3 inch duals on my 400hp car cause the internet said so.
