or take anything away from the OP.... But I have a quick question. I have the SLP CME and I'm wanting to change out the bullet type/glass pack that was installed from SLP. After I installed headers, it's just extremely loud when your doing normal driving. I don't mind it loud under WOT, but cruising around town makes it hard to carry on a conversation....
I've attached pictures of the original exhaust from SLP. Would the Magnaflow be a much better choice? I can tell you that I have very little, if not none rasp whatsoever and very minimal drone. It's just the loudness between 2,000-3,000 RPM's...
I'm open to all suggestions.... Thanks!!

You will need about 20" SS tube per side.
SS wool was also bought off ebay. You can fill the space between the perforated tube and the tips with SS wool or leave it empty. Thats up to you.
The adapter ring:
I machined two donut shaped inserts out of aluminum to hold the perforated tube on the outer end of the tips. They are about 1" thick, 3.4" OD and 2.5" ID with a step for the perforated tube to sit against. The perforated tube was press fitted into these inserts. A hole on the OD of the aluminum inserts was threaded 1/4"NC to hold the inserts from falling out of the tips.
There is a hole in the lower outer end of the tips that I used to hold the inserts in place with a button head ss screw.
