He also said until you get near 1,000 fwhp you don't need them unless you're just dyno racing, this comes from someone who could have sold me a set of headers that cost over $1,000 & I really appreciate his honesty.
My take is 2" is OK if you don't have headers or 1 3/4 but not worth going from 1 7/8 to 2"
I think he was referring to the people who get on here any say 1.75 is plenty for a bolt on car and anything larger will lose power. That simply not the case, he didn't make any reference to the notion that 2" will provide significant gains over 1-7/8

how does the gasket seal against the head mounting flange? Does it block some flow of those 2" primaries?

2" headers were worth 5 more RWHP over 1-7/8 on an otherwise stock ls3.

Little update. Tonight removed the passenger header and my fix and one I was comfortable with was putting a slight dent in the header. About 3 hits and was done.

10.86 126 mph cam only deal. Now new set up that I changed, new tick cam, ported super Vic 4150 accufab throttle body, nitrous outlet puck and the 2 inch headers. All threw the stock 6 speed with monster 11 inch clutch and all MWC suspension. Goal is to go 9s banging gears.

My old long tube headers got a leak in them. I'm gonna get these 2" headers and a custom 3" exhaust with x pipe through some bullets.

What size tick cam are you running man? Are you using slicks?

Be prepared to have to modify k-member or headers. This is the second aftermarket k-member that hits in the exact same place
