Default Ported Throttle Body Question

I ran across this thread:
http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread...h-Instructions
Would the epoxy area be worth the time?
I'm in the middle of porting mine and was curious.

I usually don't epoxy the port jobs. Some people have had the epoxy pop loose.

I epoxied mine, I made sure to scuff it up real well
and solvent cleaned it to ensure the JB-Weld could
grab.

The Web docs may tell you to drill a 3/16" hole. This
is way too small, go 3/8" all the way to the inner IAC
channel to keep from picking up some RPM surge from
the passage being too small for the air demand.

This is interesting, I just did my lm7 TB today and I did my ls1 TB last summer.. I wonder what gains can be had by using the epoxy?
