85mm mass airflow sensor
I am looking to purchase an 85mm mass airflow sensor for my 2002 WS6. What year truck and engine size came with the 85mm mass airflow sensor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'd be much better off just removing the stock MAF
screen, than using a screened truck MAF. If you are
smart then you can remove the screen without damage
(in case you wanted to go back) or buy a trashed MAF
carcass and work on the inlet side and swap it on.
Setting the inlet side of the "Oreo" in a dish of paint
remover overnight will loosen it nicely, practically
fall out of the housing.
And any 85mm stock piece is going to need you to
touch the tune. I'd guess you are not ready for that.

Order a maf from Rock Auto. 2002 Silverado with a 5.3 or 6.0 will be an 85mm. I just installed mine today and the screen popped out very easily. It was really no big deal at all. The maf will run around ~$80 but you'll need the harness adapter as well. That's another $20 from eBay.

Thanks for the help. Car was just tuned. Tuner said that the stock MAF was restricting the airflow and that I should get an 85mm MAF. Once I get this and a few other things corrected I will get it retuned.

It made 428 rwhp and 372 torque. At WOT it was reading a vacuum in the intake manifold and it was also running out of fuel on the top end. Fuel pressure was dropping down to 36 psi. I have addressed the fuel problem. My tuner suggested to install a fast 92 intake, NW 92 TB along with a 85mm MAF and to keep the SLP lid. Once all of this is done I will bring the car back for a retune.
