The advantages are that there is no blocking of airflow to the radiator, said to keep ECTs lower at idle, it's not sucking hot air off the asphalt (again, pretty much an issue at idle) and less danger of sucking up water from a puddle and getting hydrolocked. I know that there are those who will argue that these are all non-issues, and those who will assert the opposite from their own experience. I don't have a dog in the hunt on this, but because you asked, those are the supposed advantages of using the scoops.

I am having to make new gaskets for my BG ram air as well. Kind of a tedious process but I got it done. He stopped making them because his supplier cost got too high. I told him to just raise his prices to compensate but I guess he didn't feel like dealing with it. Too bad, it is a great setup. I painted my internal nose baffles SOM to match my car.

I too had the BGRA and loved it. But I got rid of my WS6 a few years ago. When I got my second WS6 I was like you and was looking every where for it. Had no luck so I went with the JAAM. Not the BGRA but I think it works pretty good.

That system was so well designed and produced that it's hard to believe that someone hasn't bought the rights and continued to manufacture it.

Hell, I didn't even have a WS6 and I bought a used one when it came up for sale on here years ago - just because it was rare, and if there was ever a chance that I might be able to use it, this was my one chance to get it.

I offered it to my brother, but he decided to keep his WS6 bone stock, so it's sitting on a friend's car ... anyway, that's my BGRA story.

I have the BGRA kit on mine, but the gasket that goes on the backside of the hood to seal the air intake to the airbox is gone. I know it's a long shot in the dark, but does anyone currently have one still? I'd like to get measurements or more detailed photos in order to make some. Based off the instructions, I do have some measurements, but something a bit more direct would be great.

Is Brian able to be contacted still? I'm curious if he might have the specs after all this time

I still have a couple of original, unused gaskets for this kit. I bought two spares back when I still had my WS6 car, which was nearly 20 years ago. I ran across these spare gaskets when I moved back in 2019, and I know I brought them with me, but I can't remember where I put them. They are somewhere in my house, and if I ever find them I can take some pics and measurements.

That would be awesome. If you have one of these kits, you will need a supply of those gaskets as long as you own the vehicle, so this would be helpful to a bunch of folks.

I was one of those people that bought spare gaskets for my BGRA back in the day. I have several but won't sell any so please don't ask. I still use them on my WS6 which I've owned since I purchased it new in April 2002. Anyway, I can take pictures and include measurements if anyone is interested.

The piece that holds that backing piece with gasket and screws to the inside of the WS6 hood may be removed somewhat easily. If so, I'll get pictures taken with measurements. I haven't had that piece off my car in years but will look. If not easily removed, I can take pics and measurements of it attached to my hood and post.

That is very interesting indeed. I did not see a price. Please post, or PM me if you prefer.

EDIT: Oh, and interested in those big honeycomb nostrils too.
