Default Whats needed for a larger 85 MAF?

Potentially silly question but I currently have an SLP lid and stock MAF feeding into a BBK 80 mm TB and LS6 intake. I would like to go with a larger 85 mm intake since I plan on having a Fast 92 MM installed in April. What type of piece do I need to switch to a larger 85mm Z06 MAF? I know I'll need a tune but that's happening in April anyway.

You can order a maf for the trucks from Rock Auto for around $50 or so. They come screened but it's very simply to pop out the screen on them. You'll need a 5 wire to 3 wire adapter that can be found on eBay. Make sure your lid is at least 85mm to fit over it and you may need a larger bellow. All in all, about $100 at most and it's done.

My SLP came with a small bellow to attach it to the lid and the 3 to 5 wire adapter harness. My recommendation would be to skip the MAF all together and go speed density. Cheaper and removes all restriction. You'll never know the difference in the tune.

Don't remove the MAF if it isn't needed. Speed density will make things more simple, true. It's not recommended though unless you have a huge cam that cause too little vacuum at idle, or forced induction running more boost than a maf can read. With FI it's not too bad, as there's always going to be plenty of air and a huge cam isn't generally going to be in a daily driven car.
If you tune the car in summer heat for example, then in cold winter air that is much denser you may have issues, and visa versa. Just my O2.

Anyone know if the SLP has enough diameter to fit over the 85mm MAF? I'll have to check the bellows tomorrow.

If you're referring to the SLP smooth bellow then yes. At least mine did

Perhaps a visit to Home Depot might help. It seems that this guy is using the stock MAF with his FAST 102.

That seems like a waste to me. The idea is to remove any bottlenecks and Im sure when I have the ported 92 installed the stock MAF would be one.

So I just took some under the hood shots and I'm wondering if theres anything I'm overlooking regarding resuing the coupler thats still on the car. The 85mm MAF I bought doesn't look like it will have any issue fitting since it doesnt seem to be that much larger than the stock one. And worst case, I imagine the part that chokes down towards the throttlebody can be cut if needed to fit over the 92mm TB.

AM I over looking anything?

you can make it fit.with some triming and getting it warm. I soaked mine in hot water and massaged it on.

Well I just now found out the car is actually speed density tuned. So I dont even need the damn thing. So new question.

Im looking at this boot:
Amazon.com: Spectre Performance 9770 4" 22.5° EPDM Flex Boot: Automotive Amazon.com: Spectre Performance 9770 4" 22.5° EPDM Flex Boot: Automotive

Is a band clamp enough to close a 4 inch hose to a roughly 3.5 inch (92mm) throttle body? I don't see any long enough that also choke down to 3.5 inches from 4.
