Default MAF pigtail (need wiring help)

so the other day I was driving my car (with an 01 5.3 swap) and the air cleaner fell off and I ran over it, taking the MAF sensor with it ripping all the wires out of the pig tail so silly me I went to the parts store and got a new pigtail and of course the wire colors don't match so I am trying to figure out what order the wires went in. once again it's a 5.3 out of an 01 silverado with the 5 wire MAF a simple pictures should be all I need but couldn't find one

cool it looks like I have found it do you think the blacks matter because both of mine are black and white and both are grounds with the key off

you will need the correct ground for the IAT to work properly. the IAT "ground" is actually the sensor return to the PCM IIRC.

I would have to see the entire wiring diagram to say 100%. If the IAT ground goes directly to the PCM then yes it needs to be wired correctly. If the IAT ground merges with a bunch of other grounds then it doesn't matter.

The MAF has it's own signal return so that ground shouldn't matter.

okay so I checked the pin out at the ecu on 2 different sites and got that the Maf sensor ground at the ecu (blue pin 60) is orange and white put at the connector is black and white and the 5v reference (blue 47) is grey at ecu and pink at the connector the rest match color all the way through. Anyone know if the have a connection somewhere or where they switch wire colors.

just for reference these are the pins I got for the MAF or IAT
Maf ground (blue pin 60) ecu wire color orange/white connector black/white
MAF 5v reference (blue pin 47) ecu color grey connector pink
MAF signal (red 31) wire color yellow both
IAT signal (red 25) wire color Tan
IAT Ground (red 5) wire color solid black

awesome so I found the answer to my problem and maybe it will help someone else out but it ended up being a simple 10 amp fuse #23 (right below the ignition relay and to the left) its weird I was getting voltage to the pig tail and voltage back to the ecu but I dunno it works now with my original MAF sensor
