What heads are you using on the 427?

I'm thinking about port matching mine, but I can't remember the thread I saw a few days ago where someone showed a few pics of the process. I can't decide how I'd mark what needed to be removed.

In case you miss my build thread update, my brake booster hose fit fine. No modification needed.

Also, did you figure out o-rings yet?

Brake booster hose worked fine for me as well. Had to pull it a tad tighter, but nothing unreasonable

No I haven't messed with it actually. I plan on working on it for the better part of tomorrow and Tuesday tho.

I went ahead and bought some 1/2" ID heater hose. My factory booster hose has been cut and spliced together before when it was procharged.

Cool, good luck! If you have some calipers, can you measure the OD of the lower o-ring when it's on the injectors? For whatever ones you get to work that is. I'll measure mine tonight. *insert measuring contest jokes*

I really like the looks of the Holley TB. It goes really well with the black FAST 102. I'll be following this thread for more information and pictures. All these threads are really going to help with my install, so I appreciate it.

Did you get the tapered Holley 105mm TB or the non tapered version? I assume the tapered version helps with low RPM driving and tuning. I checked the price point on them compared to the NW TB's, and they are quite a bit more money.

Just FYI - There's a black NW in the for sale section here. It's dinged up underneath, but for the price I'd definitely think about it if I didn't have one.

I got the low rpm taper to help with the tuning. The ID of the TB is a hair smaller than the full race version. I'm seeing the Holley for $470ish. And the NW for $380ish. And like I said you can't get the NW in black right now.

I did the the one for sale. I would had bought it if I didn't have a hook up on the Holley. And it's pretty dinged up as well...

I checked WS6 Store this morning, and it looks like they still have the NW 102mm TB in black.

Had to take a fair amount off the rear edge of the water pump, if yours has the bolt athe top of the pump you need to shave it down some but it will fit with the bolt there. It's the bottom lip at the front of the intake that hits the back of the water pump. That and where the bolt is seems to be the only bad spots. I put a heat shield under mine so I took a little more off of it. We just got dad's ready to go on so I know it will fit with the bolt in place just take most of the extra material off there

Damn! I'm going to take your suggestion and ask around about the Holley. Thanks for the PM. Now get back to work and get that think on there.

I just measured them on my injectors. Greens are .664", black (might have come with rail kit?) are .605", and stock gray ones (Denso 36lb) are .570".

Did you end up sticking with stock?

No. I'm using the fat green ones. They are really snug in the injector hole.

Wow, I have no idea how you got them in there. I'm gonna try a few more times before going with the black ones.
