Talking Magnaflow 4x9's or Flowmaster 10 Series....for duals

I got my duals done awhile ago. They sound pretty good, but my dyno tuner said that the reason my peak rwhp numbers were so slow was due to the crappy flowing Moroso Spiral Flow mufflers. I also kinda want a more powerful sounding exhaust. The Moroso's have some rasp to them that I don't like.

So I have the choice between Magnaflow 4x9's or Flowmaster 10 series. Right now I am leaning towards the Magnaflow, since they are a little cheaper, striaght through design, easy to find, and I have the dimensions on them. I haven't heard Flowmaster duals yet, but someone told me they would be loud as hell, which I don't really want since I have to drive through the neighborhood at 6:45am and don't want to wake everyone up. Are they really that loud? My friend has Magnaflow on his truck and it sounds deep and clean, but I think Flowmaster would sound kick-***...

Anyone have any opinions? Thanks

I'd go with the Magnaflows.. I believe CountryBoy a board member had the 10 series flowmasters.. and although they sound great. They were pretty loud if I remember correctly from a post that he made..

I've listened to every LS1sound clip, and they don't really help, since the cars never really sound like that, due to crappy cameras and my crappy speakers.

I have the Magna 4x9's too. The clip I sent to ls1sounds does them no justice.
I love them and get lots of compliments.

Good to hear. How would you compare the sound level to stock? At idle, and other points up to redline. I'm afraid the 4x9's would be too quiet. Thanks

They ARE quieter than the Flowtech Afterburners I used to have (those were viciously loud at idle). The idle is now tamer and tolerable, but there's no mistaking the lope. Part throttle sound is very tolerable and deep.
WOT is wicked, wicked butter....... very "tuned" sounding.

Flowmaster 10 series all the way man. I have heard two cars with this setup and as soon as I get the money I'm gettin my long tubes and true duals. He ran 2.5" with an x-pipe and dumped before the axle. Here's a link to the video I recorded in his car goin down the road. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/152470-headers-true-duals-video-inside.html
