It wasn't thick smoke or anything like that.
Yeah some blow by on a stock block is normal . Did you replace plugs yet? Is the fuel system stock? And did he mention the duty cycle on the injectors where they maxed out?

I replaced the plugs probably 1000 miles before the dyno tune. Yes, stock fuel system and no he didnt mention anything about the injectors maxing out. Should i message him and see if he remembers or has it saved on his laptop?

Wouldn't hurt to ask em . Would you happen to have a hand held scanner to look at ltft and o2 sensors

You have a stock converter?
If you do I would assume you wouldn't lose much power locked vs unlocked.
Were there numbers with converter locked or unlocked?

Yes stock converter. I don't know if the numbers are locked or unlocked to be honest.

I talked to Mark this morning and he said the Dyno is a conservative dyno and i could expect 3-4% higher on another dyno. He also said my car has very tall gears and it peaked at the right rpm in a 2nd gear pull. He told me to get gears and it will peak at the right rpm in 3rd.

I think a stock converter is more efficient locked vs unlocked but to give you an idea what I'm talking about....my car dynos 430 locked vs 390 unlocked. So you really should be asking him if it was locked or unlocked.

Also, dynos can be all over the place and the track is the only real method for seeing where it should be.

it peaked higher in second gear, the tuner said i need higher gears in the rear (355 or 373).

Do you think that sounds right or could something else be up? any ideas? i have no idea where to look.

I do know my car has the lowest gears that came in the auto cars. I think 2.73.

The gears in your rear end shouldn't effect where your motor makes peak power. What is your mod list I can't see it?

mods are 243 heads, comp cam 212/218, LS6 intake, Long tube headers, engine has been cleaned up so the pistons/cylinders are .010 bigger (doubt that does anything though), Volant CAI and i think thats it HP wise. oh and for exhaust it has a pacesetter y pipe going into the stock I pipe and magna flow muffler.

Other than the low numbers I'm really happy with the way the car drives. It's like a night and day difference! Almost like having a whole new car.

Numbers seem a little low but it's just a dyno. Try another dyno of see what it traps at the track. Your enjoying the car and that's most important ðŸ‘

Yea i was going to do the gears in the rear and then hit the track. I was just getting worried that maybe something is wrong with the engine internally and thats the reason for the low peak. IDK it feels better than ever! But I have OCD so i won't be able to ignore the low peak forever. I'm going to want/need to figure out whats going on lol.

I hear ya. You would benefit from a stall more so than the gears tbh.

I would have guessed you would have been closer to 370rwhp and peak about 5900-6000

my rear end needs a rebuild, after a decent drive it starts to whine/squeal when i turn. I definitely want to get a stall, i've heard they are a lot of fun. Not to mention really help your quarter mile.
