Default LS1 Block Missing Oil Pan Hole

Motor is a LS1 removed from a 2001 Camaro. I swapped the F-Body oil pan for a C6 LS2 pan to gain some ground clearance. The C6 pan has one more hole near the oil filter than the F-body pan, which has a vertical rib in that location. There is sort of a boss on the block that looks like it would accommodate a hole, but no hole drilled and tapped in the block.

I am really considering drilling and tapping a hole in the block there, I hate oil leaks. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the link. Yeah, I think when I have the engine back out on a stand, I will carefully drill and tap it.

If it were me I would not take the chance to mess something up,
I have seen a few of these from the bottom side, and that is not a problem area.
Just my .02
