Yeah no problem at all. If you REALLY want to get every last single hp you could do the merge with a cutout, bigger headers, and a fast intake. That all together might get you 20 hp more

Ya your probably right on that combo worth 20hp. Pretty expensive parts for 20hp. Id put the $ towards a cam before that stuff unless i found a really good deal. Thx for the info though I research a bigger header and most said they felt a little bit of diff mid/upper. I always keep my eyes open for a set of cheap set of used A.R. Headers but cheap and A.R. dont belong in the same sentence lol

Hard to see in first pic. I put a flash light through pipe on one side in this pic so you can see better

Hi Sir,

So i can basically unbolt my SLP muffler and bolt in the Magnaflow #14419?

Would you mind taking a picture? Thank you sir.

My LM1 was welded in so the shop had to cut it out and weld in the Magnaflow. The dimensions are practically identical

I think this is a wise choice

Also to let people know the slp lm2 muffler is 18" vs magna flow 14419 20". Some sights list 14419 as 23.5"?

I posted an answer in my old thread, OP.

Anyway, mine was welded, but I cut the "pipe" off mine and simply welded the muffler itself. Lots of measuring, marking, and witness marks, but it came out perfect.

Inside of a hooker y-pipe for comparison.

Tsp merge is good. Only thing I did was cut the 3in end off that clamps to catback and welded a 3.5in pipe to it and merged it down to 3in after the cutout. Worked out real nice

Do you feel it was worth your effort? My ts merge exit measures 2.75" also not 3" Any change in tone ect?

you could probably bring it to a muffler shop and have the TSP y-pipe outlet expanded to 3

In my case I did it not only to free up hp but also so I could meet up with the 3.5in cutout. Either way you have a nice smooth Y merge that runs directly into a 2.75in reducer. Works for most people but if you want everything out of your car I'd say its a worthwhile mod. No idea on change in tone since I did it all at once.

Trust me, you CANNOT do this. Stainless doesn't expand... it splits.
