Default What plugs to run

Hello,

So I'm sure it's been beaten to death but I wanted to know what the experienced guys think about spark plug selection. I've been an ngk fan myself but don't have much experience with LS's. I'm running a 5.3 and about to slap on a mp112. Is NGK still the best route and what plugs do you recommend on n/a cars and boosted cars. Car is in SoCal.

Thanks for any help here!

What would happen if you ran a regular plug on a boosted setup?

Tr6 is one step colder than stock and has a projected tip. Br7 is two steps colder and is non projected

Great. I appreciate the info. So how does the temperature and the projected tip vs non projected tip effect performance? Just trying to learn all I can.

NON-PROJECTED tip BR7...NGK makes a projected and non-projected BR7.

a positive displacement the blower car that's going to have sky high iats like mp112s are known for can absolutely benefit by running a colder plug and a 7 instead of a 6.

I run LS7 iridium plugs with my TVS2300 w/meth and they are excellent. They are one range colder and last forever: ACDELCO 41104

That's everyone. I didn't even consider the higher IATs in that aspect and how it related to plug heat. Makes a lot more sense now!
