Default where is coolant coming from?

Im at a loss. I have coolant leaking from my motor from somewhere and i cant figure out where. It seems to be dripping right below the back passenger side. Its a new 6.0 short block with a carb swap. I already checked the rear cross over block offs and its not there. Using ls9 seven layer head gaskets and i dont belive its coming from the heads either as i dont see any water trails or calcium streaks.

Any other spots i could be missing?

Is there anywhere behind the rear cover that could leak coolant? Or just oil?

1. use an air compressor or pressure tester to fill the coolant system with air pressure while the engine is cold. Then use this opportunity to find the leak.

2. You should be using DISTILLED WATER in the cooling system. Do NOT use tap water. Distilled does not contain ions, will not leave calcium deposits, will not cause corrosion of the cooling system the way tap water will.

Good to know on #2. As far as pressuring it i will do that. How much psi do i pressure it too? I put some coolant dye in it and cant find any signs of leaks other than the coolant dripping off the bottom of the oil pan

I would imagine 15-20psi would be good enough to find a leak. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

Do not exceed the pressure rating on the radiator cap. Too much pressure can blow out the coolant tanks on the radiator.

Coolant system is designed to operate at a maximum of 18psi. Rent a coolant pressure tester from auto parts store and spray dish soap/water until you find the leak. Nice benefit is the motor will be cleaner after spraying it down with the soapy water.
