Harmonic Balancer Install

Just installed my harmonic balancer using the proper tool, and it seems like the balancer stopped sooner than expected. I don't have any other accessories on the motor to verify pulley alignment. Does anyone have specs or pics of how much space should be between the seal & balancer? Here are a couple pics of what I got.

I just installed mine a few weeks ago and I have the same spacing you are showing. After fitting the accessories, the pulleys all line up properly.

does it matter where the balancer is positioned like it would on a crank with a key way? reason being i didnt mark the position when i took it off

I don't think so. There are no timing marks on it to dictate that it should be in any particular position.

No, it does not matter. Some aftermarket pulleys have timing marks that you could line up if you wanted to, but 99.9% of people dont worry about it.
