Yeah Darth this thing fit perfectly. No issues at all. It's just a little snug under the cowl but so is the FAST. I would have had no clue that there were fitment issues on others.

When I talked to Tony he said the "fitment issues" were a non issue. He said he hadn't had any that didn't fit properly. So I would think he has something to do with it, but according to Tony it's not him lol. He says he just works on porting. Also I think people just need to take their time with the install. It took me a few hours from opening the box to getting it on the car. But I wasn't in a rush at all. Anytime I rush I mess stuff up. I could see being excited to get it on though lol. Also, I think I have an intake that was made fairly recently. Maybe MSD's quality control has improved. I'm pretty sure they make a newer gasket now than they did when they first came out.

Also, the internal gasket is very complex and you have to double check all of the parts stay in place when replacing the top. I could see if you weren't careful, part of the gasket could get tangled up inside. But it says to watch that right in the instructions for install.

Ok so I'll just chalk the fitment issues up to either early adopter penalty or internet mythology.

Be awesome to see the power difference for you. Any guesses?
For sure. Wow. Very close to my cam at 235/239 116+2. I think you'll make 500+rwhp.

Trying to keep expectations moderate I would say maybe 10hp. I could feel the difference on first start up. I really think, & hope, it will be closer to 15hp.

PS. Car is strapped down right now on the dyno. Hopefully tonight I'll post results.

It's definitely worth the money to me. These runners aren't removable so port matching would suck. And you'd have to have a nice long dremel attachment to get in there too. Probably take 10+ hours to do IMO plus buying extra attachments for the dremel

Its a work of art for sure. I liked the looks of them but didn't care for the lettering on top. Seeing yours without the lettering makes me want to go that route instead of a fast 102. Good luck on the dyno, can't wait to see what it makes.

FWIW, a Dremel isn't really an ideal tool for porting. A pneumatic or even an electric die grinder is pretty much the standard. These 11amp Milwakee grinders are issued to every SAM student in the cylinder head class:

They're big, heavy, and will take you for a ride if you're not careful, but they work really well.

My buddy sent me some pics of his MSD without any port work. Looks like MSD did a little clean up work at the base of the ports but otherwise they're untouched.

For sure. I figured it would be better to actually see the difference.

Is it just me or is his MSD intake for a rectangle port and yours for a cathedral port?

Yeah it is. Sorry I thought I said that when I posted it but I didn't. I was just posting to show the difference overall of how deep Tony ports down into the runners and how smooth it looks in comparison. Tony said he takes a lot of material out. A lot more than the Fast port job. I might be able to get some non ported cathedral pics and post.
