Default Mamo MSD arrived!!!

Hello guys. I don't have a build thread for this car but just wanted to share this piece of artwork here. I have read quite a few things about the MSD intake, mostly good but some bad, but decided it would be best for my setup. I'll tell you, I don't know if it's because this one touched Mamo's hands or what but it's perfect and install was easy, fitment was great, gaskets were perfect. I can't say enough about this intake. Very well made. I had a FAST 102 before but decided to upgrade so I have installed both and I would say the MSD was even a tad easier to install. MSD even provides little rubber stoppers to hold the rear intake bolts up while you put the intake on the engine. It fits a little more snugly than the FAST but not by much. Still clears the cowl fine. The drivers side rear 2 bolts were the hardest to get torqued to spec but I found you just need a 1/4" drive hex kit and a very short extension and it work great. I am using a full return fuel system so my rails are not stock style but they transferred directly over from my FAST with no problem at all. Anyways, can't think of anything else. If anybody has any questions on it let me know.

And for the pics!

Looks great without the lettering on top!!!

Like my throttle body spacer lol

It's a 383 stroker forged bottom LS1, 11.5:1 comp; Mamo 220 heads, Mamo cam, Johnson short travel lifters, Kooks 1.875 true duals. Should breath nicely

lol. At least that. Only thing I think will hold me back a little is the 4" stroke. But I'll spin it til the power starts to drop off for sure. I'm hoping it's at least 7300

I seen Tony's post on mamofying an MSD, he removes a lot of plastic from those things to make them as pretty as the one you have. Very interested in seeing this thing in action. Keep up the great work on both your cars.

Awesome work man! As your other car is a beast, I'm actually more interested in this one. Another distant cousin 383. Could you give the cam specs?

Hopefully by the end of the week I should have dyno results from my fast 92 being Mamofied!

Thanks! This should be a very fun car to drive. Mamo spec'd it at 235/239 grind on a 113 + 0. I'm not sure how much power it will make but I'm hoping 500+. We'll see.

Be awesome to see the power difference for you. Any guesses?

Looks really good. Appears to be a pretty straight shot into the ports.

It's crazy how nice this piece is. That's why I decided to start the thread. I was worried about fitment etc just from some people complaining about it. Tony said not to worry about it and he was definitely right. He does a great job on the porting too. We were comparing with a couple that haven't been ported yet and you can tell a huge difference. Hopefully starting the car goes as easy as this intake install lol.

I was going to see if you'd post anything in fit. I seen posts where people say it doesn't fit that well.

So question - you think tony fixes some of the fitment issues or do think it's the guy holding the wrench that makes the difference?
