So your PVC is plumbed to the drivers side just like mine to the same port?

If you aren't using the EVAP port it will work exactly the same as the port on the opposite side.. I'd leave that there. Now the port on the throttle body needs to go to the passenger cover though.

Mine is plumbed to the passenger side, like in your diagram. But as Slasher said, any port in the intake will work.

I could use the lower fitting on the PCV valve in the valve cover instead of the upper one and I could get away with running a larger hose that way. I wonder if that is my restriction?

Just looked back at your pic. That PCV valve doesn't look like the one on my truck. Maybe spend $3 and get the single port PCV valve.

I just went to the autozone and grabbed the first one I saw that was L shaped. Is there a specific one I need? I do know my line is not quite 3/8 like everyone else runs.

I'm wondering if the top is a one way inlet for a crossover.
Get one for an 01 Silverado, 5.3. You can see pics at Rockauto.

Sorry for bringing up this again, but i am probably small steps away from sorting this out on my 5.3 with a LS1 intake.

I do not have the top pipe on the throttle body (it's a truck TB from '04). Question is, do the vacuum hose from the passenger valve cover need to be connected to the TB, or could i just use for example the port for the EVAP on the drivers side on the intake tunnel?

The PCV inlet needs to be metered air (between MAF and TB). On early trucks and LS1s there was an inlet port on the TB that was vented in front of the TB blade. On later trucks there's a fitting on the intake hose between the MAF and TB.
I drilled the plastic flange of my 05 DBW TB that was vented in front of the TB blade, then added a fitting. But an inlet port anywhere there will work. It just needs to be between the MAF and TB.
The PCV outlet can go to any port on the intake.

First of all, thank you for your answer. I guess i had not quite understand the whole PCV system. I am going to run a aftermarket EFI-system, Fitech Ultimate LS. Will i be using a MAF sensor on the inlet pipe then you think?

So to sum up, the hose on the rear end of the drivers side valve cover, goes to the intake AFTER the TB. And the hose from the passenger side valve cover goes in front of the TB?

Somewhere i read that the passenger side is the "clean side" of the PCV, and the drivers side is the "dirty side"..

SD tunes don't use a MAF, not sure what your aftermarket is set up for. I described the stock LS setup.
You pretty much got it, have a look at the diagrams earlier in this thread. The air that flows through the engine is metered by the MAF that way.
"Clean" air enters passenger side in front of the TB blade, goes into fitting on passenger side of the motor. "Dirty" exits the drivers rear valve cover PCV valve, from there, it can go in any fitting on the intake manifold.
If you have the 04 DBW TB, you can drill through the mount lip to the cavity used by the earlier cable TBs. Then tap, put a fiting in, plumb that to passenger PCV port.
You can see a pic of that in the top of the pic in this thread (post 96).

No, i think FiTech EFI's use something called "speed density" instead of MAF. Thanks a lot for your help gary, you have cleared some confusing things up. I am familiar with the method by drilling a hole in the LS1 intake, to get the fitting in the same place as on the truck intake. I will probably do that, and also add a catch tank on the "dirty side". Again thanks, and have a wonderful day!

Pcv goes from driver rear valve cover, to pass rear valve cover, to pcv valve assembly, to vacuum source

You may want to post your question over at the carb forum here, find out what actually works.

It just needs to come from both valve covers into a y, into a pcv valve, and into a vacuum line source. Most carbs have a couple vacuum nipple to choose from
