Default ls6 valley cover on lm7 5.3

i just bought a 5.3 lm7 the guy i bought it from suggested that i use a ls6 valley cover since ill be running a ls6 intake so the pcv can be routed that way.

im not sure how any of this works. if its worth it.

i know i will be running a catch can on my setup regardless.

is it worth spending the extra money on the ls6 valley cover?

Its not a bad idea at all. I would suggest replacing the valley cover with the LS6 or going to an aftermarket catch can setup if you are wanting to keep oil out of the intake tract.
