Default Lq4 build, what cam with mods I have

Hey guys hoping I can pick your brains and get a rough idea on what I'm going to do with my z. So my motor **** the bed 2 summers ago pretty sure it was a spun bearing I have yet to see the extent of the damage but I believe I caught it in time before the motor completely detonated. So fast forward I am now looking into getting an lq4 locally that's it great shape and am thinking of just swapping my heads and Intake over, I was running prc 2.5 ls6 heads that were milled .020 for my tsp v3 cam an ls6 intake and Bosch #40 injectors. Now with the lq4 having more displacement I would like to take advantage of that and maybe go with a bigger cam but I also realize the lq4 is a lower compression so I'm not quite sure what spec cam I could go with. I loved my v3 and I made 440whp with my setup so obv going 6.0 I would love to hit close to 500 at the wheels if possible but again not sure what my options are. The car is an a4 with a built 4l60e and tci 3000 stall and I have a set of 3.73 gears going in as well. Any recommendations on cam or anything else I could change around to hit the 500 mark NA is greatly appreciated

500 is going to be a very tough number to hit with your combination due to loss in compression. I recommend sticking with the camshaft you have currently. If you want an increase in performance get rid of the TCI 3000, and try something in the 3600-3800 range. This alone will make a nice improvement.

Is is there a custom grind I could go with that would be more useful with the lower compression and make good power like my v3? I'm just worried that I'm not gonna make as much power with the v3 in the lq4

Just curious, but how would going with a larger converter help his HP numbers? Or will it simply be a more seat of the pants/better use of available power kind of upgrade?

It wouldn't help his overall power, but it would be a big improvement in performance. Allowing him to get into the meat of the powerband quicker. Aftermarket torque converters are one of the best bang for your buck modifications in my opinion.

Aaron, wouldnt swapping my prc heads boost my compression on this lq4? I thought on these blocks that 243 heads bump up compression plus them already being milled for my v3 cam would help as well?
