I enjoy my single 4in set up. Flowmaster dual 3in into a single 4in merge with a dynomax 4in bullet muffler with a kooks 4in 45 degree turndown... Sounds amazing, felt waaay better than my slp loudmouth. Only thing is bad drone at certain rpm's

Angle that turndown at a 45* angle outward and the drone is all but gone. Thats a nice, simple, great fitting, great power making exhaust that will support any mods you will throw at it!

Probably means a little more bark, a little more crisp. Imagine the exhaust pointing at your ear vs away from it.

A single 3.5 or 4" will be plenty on an ls1. I would have spent a few more $$'s on a better set of headers to maximize hp.

It wouldnt be hard to make. By the time you cut the y pipe apart, weld in the flowmaster merge and weld a muffler to the back side of that with a turn down on the end youre pretty much done other than a hanger or two. Any exhaust shop should be able to handle it without a problem. I plan to run mine over the axle though with a muffler in the stock location and a dump on the drivers side close to the bumper. So a bit more work into that setup unless you pick up one of the kits from Mufflex or Hawks.

Full-Force, that exhaust is badass! I've thought about doing this since I got my car. I've had plenty of Fbodies over the years with varying exhaust systems but my last LSx powered 3rdgen ran LT's, Custom 3" FM merge Ypipe into 4" pipe, Powerstick chambered muffler dumped at the axle on a 45.. and WOW! Wish I had a sound clip of that. I'll be doing something similar with my '98 Z28.
