Default FTP 104 lid worth it in stock setup?

Sup fellas. I'm getting a FTP 104 lid for cheap locally (50 bux). I thought I should just buy it since my plan is to do heads, cam and Intake soon. Especially at that price. My car as of right now powerwise has longtubes, true dual exhaust through x pipe and borla stingers, slp lid, powerbond 25 pulley and SSRA. Just did a tune up, royal purple oil etc. I currently have an unfinished dyno tune. It's unfinished because I was running out of fuel at 4700-4800 rpm. Running lean at top so upgrading fuel pump and filter. I'm heading back to finish the tune on Monday with the fuel issues fixed. The car was making good power. It was making 330/350 at almost 5k and still climbing before leaning out. The difference this time will be fuel issues fixed and a 85mm maf replacing the stocker. My question is this. Should I Throw in the bigger lid now? Would I see a bit more hp? Or should I just wait till I have more mods? Thanks guys

I would definitely throw the lid on there. I don't see any reason not too.

Might as well but it's not going to gain anymore then lets a slp lid...a lid is a lid on most LS1's until you get into more aggressive combos.

Yeah I figured I wouldn't gain much, just wanted to make sure I wasn't gonna lose instead of gain

It's never a bad idea to eliminate as many intake restrictions as possible.

Are you a proponent of the 104mm over the 98mm, particularly with my setup? I need to order one today.

I don't know if there is a difference? The lid itself is the same isn't it? And it's not a true 104 either way. It necks down going over the radiator. But the opening is 104mm vs 98? I did the 104 so I could fit the TSP 100mm MAF.

So no HP difference either way?

There might be a little bit of HP difference. I've always heard if you're going SD, just use the 98 lid. It's a little cheaper. And isn't really any smaller.

We went over this already! Neck size is the same, only the connection point is different.
