Default Magnaflow vs. Hooker AGAIN...sorry!

Yes its the age old question i've searched millions of times over and over again. I am picking one in the next 2 weeks and i'm stumped.

Magnaflow

-looks great
-easy install
-more pricey tho
-stainless stell
-remarks in the past are that it sounds great at wot and very quiet

Hooker

-cheap
-aluminized....whish it wasn't
-sounds like people have to modify this system for it to fit better
-remarks in the past are that it sounds great all around

Which one is gonna is the better system? I want the one that will make the most power. Has anyone dyno or track tested the two against the other. I want the best damnit! No GMMG, too costly, no borla, hate the sound, no corsa, too expensive, no loudmouth, too obnoxious. I want 1 of these 2 mentioned please don't talk to me about other brands, not interested.

Put it to you this way....I've owned about 8-9 catbacks on my car because I could never find one I liked. When I put the Hooker on, it's stayed there since 3 1/2 yrs ago when I installed it..

IMO, the Hooker catback is pound for pound the absolute BEST catback on the market.

no problems with the hooker being aluminized? What about the tips, they stay pretty? This would be for a 2001 Trans Am, i don't have to worry about modifying it at all? Honestly i'm more interested in the Hooker but had my worries. Anybody have dyno results or anything like track times before after this mod? I wonder if i could get 5-10 hp and 5-10 lbs of torque out of this mod. That would be nice.......

Magnaflow Babie..........

Love mine, I had just a muffler only Magnaflow in my stock ws6 catback for about 1.5 to 2 years.
Just this monday I pulled that whole setup off and added a full Magnaflow catback.

I did not think it could sound better, but it did.

I got the hooker setup about a month ago--its awesome! Sounds great, not too loud (at least until i get some headers and cam ) and the tips are awesome. Installation was a sinch after I got the stock system off. Absolutely no fitment problems, and best of all, its only $300 bucks! (Got it for $302 shipped from thunderracing.com)

Spend more $ and get a good system, Corsa or B&B triflow. I have the magnaflow and was not happy with the Dyno results.

I have had BOTH Magnaflow and Hooker catback. I prefer the Hooker over the Magnaflow HANDS DOWN. The only technical advantage Magnaflow has is it's stainless steel, but not a big deal to me at all. Although, the Hooker tips are stainless steel, which look 1000 times better than the HIDEOUS Magnaflow "salad shooter" tips. The Hooker catback sounds better stock, and much better than Magnaflow with LT's. No fitment issues here with the Hooker catback. I swapped out the Magnaflow for the Hooker and have no regrets whatsoever. Obviously this is just my opinion. Good luck...

On edit: The Magnaflow may flow SLIGHTY better than the Hooker catback, but nothing you will ever feel. I think i covered all your questions.

Then you have other issues. The Magnaflow is one of th best flowing catbacks. Take a look at my numbers not to mention we just had a guy only pick up about 5 hp with a cutout over a magnaflow.

I love the Hooker system. I my GF had one installed and with LTs, ORY and the Hooker it is seriously badass! I love it and I have true duals on my car It will be the catback I get when I switch back. There was NO fitment issues. I also havent seen aluminumized pipe rust. Hers hasnt and its driven daily for about 7 months now.
