Default Professional products 96mm intake

I was scrolling threw the intakes at the ws6 store and this intake peaked my interest for the price claims to make 17.7 more hp at 6200rpm and also making more power at lower and mid range rpm, anyone run this intake or see some dyno graphs on it? At 480$ its cheaper than what some people are selling LS6 intakes for

You can get a LS6 intake cheaper than that. The reviews I've heard about this intake are not so good

Dorman makes a repro LS6 intake that is cheaper than that, and available all day long.

Plus the pro products intake still sucks (no pin intended). Search the threads on these, they haven't changed.

Like others have mentioned. If you are not wanting to spend too much go with an LS6.

You could also scour the classified section on here and pick up a FAST 90/92mm intake for a good price.

Yes the Dorman fell short of oem in that test ,but that was out of the box I believe a full ported Dorman LS6 would have bested the oem. The LS2D has shown even better results . It appears to be the best bang for buck if you want to go 92 mm.

And then the trailblazer ss intake threw down the most hp and torque out of all the stock intakes

In all honesty the BBK is more like 3-5 hp over the LS6, and the LS6 is more like 10 hp over the LS1 on a stock or mildly modded setup

Unless something changed radically in the last few years:
Professional Products = marginal copy or borderline junk in my experience.

Did you have a problem getting the intake gaskets to the head seal ? This is a common issue with these .

OMC8, my experience with P. Products was mostly with small block Chevy parts and based on that I'm not a fan of P. Products.

While Im not recommending this intake , but if someone is stuborn , it may be work for the following .Someone that is not concerned with performance and weight , more show than go, its offered in polished . Its also about the cheapest intake that will accept a 102 mm tb . The Speedmaster Qualifier is the same intake as the PP intake . PP intake is complete kit with their rails, crossover and fittings. If you want to get your own rails and such The Speedmaster sells for $ 235 , but I would not use thier gaskets that come with the intake . These intakes have a plate on the bottom that can be removeed for access to port the runners.
