I guess a fast 90 for $500 is a better deal than the dorman ls2?

It takes a good amount of work to get them lookin nice and flowing well, but its worth it. They will not take a 92mm unported.

The design inside is nice so no need in tearing one apart just to buzz away at the insides. We remove the posts and thats it inside besides modifying the tb opening and transition. Then working the runner outlet and smoothing down any misalignments with the top and bottom shell and around inj area.
Do you plan on posting pictures of this port work anytime soon .It would be nice to see .

Just to clarify, my Dorman LS2 intake measured 92mm out of the box and the WARR 92mm bolted right up to it with no porting needed.

I've measured 90-91 on 5 manifolds so there are some minor inconsistencies.

Yes but you would to need to buy a 4 bolt to 3 bolt throttle body adapter. I have heard they tend to leak. You can look them up on Ebay.

Default Dls2 intake

From what I've been reading 92mm tb will bolt right up to it now have to have 3 bolt to 4 bolt conversion or ls2 or ls3 tb I'm new to the LS world been a Ford guy my whole life recently bought a 2000 ws6 basically stock with ported tb and SLP maf and been tuned everything else is stock just ordered headers (1 7/8) and y pipe (3 inch) I'm just not sure what route to go ls6 or dls2 car will be tuned again after headers and intake later on in a few months cam and heads but that's another story

They're both pretty similar, if you search you'll find all the comparisons between the intakes. I bought the dls2 for a 5.3 swap because for around $400 you can get a brand new intake, or a used ls6 off ebay, and thats if it is actually a ls6 intake. Clean the dls2 up a little bit inside the runners and tb area and you're good to go.

How did you get the maf to line up with air box I was reading thats one of the flaws I've been searching and only video I've found it only made 8 more hp and about 10 more ft lbs on the Dyno over the ls6 intake both being ported

Does anyone on here actually have a real world back to back comparison of a heads and cam LS1 with the LS6 manifold moving to the Fast 92? No other changes to the combo, just a dyno sheet showing the manifold/tb change?

90 mm snout LS6 out flows the Dorman 90mm LS2 by a good margin. The Fast 90mm also out flows the Dorman LS2 by a good margin. I would prefer either a 90mm LS6 or a Fast 90/92 over the Dorman LS2 based on my flow testing results.

I agree with the 90mm ls6 or fast, but if OP is going with factory ls6 or dls2, then it's a toss up., I'd say dls2, if there isnt the issues that he asked about.

LS6 < Dorman LS2 < 90mm modded LS6 < 90/92mm Fast flow wise & hp potential.

The Dorman LS2 should out power the LS6 on the dyno.

The 90mm snout LS6 out flows the Dorman LS2 by a good margin. I flowed three versions of Dorman LS2. Dorman construction is fairly crude or the ones I've see were and with a lot of porting it can probably get close to a Fast 90/92.

Details Flow test
