ls6 vs dorman ls2

So I have seen people make assumptions and a couple threads where people have argued back and forth saying which one is better but my question is does anyone have any dyno differences with actual numbers? in theory the dorman ls2 should be out performing the ls6 by quite a bit with it being a fast lower and ls6 upper with the 92mm TB opening while the ls6 is only 78mm

And to top if off I need to come to a decision by the end of the day I got a local about 30mins from me with a LS6 intake for 350 but anther setup I am looking at which is a dorman ls2 with 92mm tb so if the cards all play out right I will be jumping on the dorman set up because I don't really see how the LS6 can out do this intake

what i heard Dorman ls2 intake similar to fast 92 and they are new 450$ new bare and yes these flow better than ls6

i love LS6 intakes and i buy/sell them since 2009

man ls6 are powerful factory intake !

Yeah thats what ive herd i was just looking to see if anyone has some dyno time with the intake to see the difference

I'd go with the ls6. Dorman intakes are junk.

the only problem with saying it is junk there is a member using it and made 480rwhp with the dorman ls2 setup with prc and ms3 cam good numbers for something that is junk

I've had them both I now have a fast 92. The intake I received was very poorly built. Sounds like the heads and cam did the heavy lifting for the 480hp build.

it seems that some people have good luck with them and they make great power and others that get it and it is not up to their standards

I am working on a competition port right now on the dls2. Should be done tomorrow. Maybe ill post up some pictures for you guys. Adding our front egr plug and rear fbody/gto ac bulkhead as well.
It takes a good amount of work to get them lookin nice and flowing well, but its worth it. They will not take a 92mm unported.

The design inside is nice so no need in tearing one apart just to buzz away at the insides. We remove the posts and thats it inside besides modifying the tb opening and transition. Then working the runner outlet and smoothing down any misalignments with the top and bottom shell and around inj area.

How much is it going to cost for you guys to port one? I just bought a DLS2 from Rockauto to replace my LS6 intake manifold.

Full competition port is $300 plus shipping. Just port matching tb is $50 plus shipping with smooth and fill.

As you can see in the runners they are plenty rough.
