I know I've read a few things about this. Personally I really cant tell. Only going off the dash gauge. Never did a before & after log where you may see some difference.

Does anyone know someone who makes a bracket to mount a vacuum pump where the ac goes?

This is where I have mine mounted on my 408. It's not in an f body but it's a custom bracket. Bob from AEICNC makes custom brackets. He might have one for you. Does the f body ac compressor mount on the bottom driver side?

I run a Moroso vac pump on my camaro. I also run a bracket from Bob@AEI CNC as well, just like jayyk31.

A/C compressor mounts on the passenger side for f body. But I'm deleting it. I do like that bracket. And I like the idea of running a shorter belt.

You will have a "perceived" loss of oil pressure when you have a lower pressure in your crankcase because the gauge is calibrated to read 0 at atmospheric pressure. Your gauge is starting below atmospheric pressure. It will read lower by about 1 PSI for every 2" HG of vacuum, but in reality, it will be pumping the same amount at the same pressure differential.

Can you reverse something to make it pull a Vacuum or am I just completely
wrong, and it is a Vacuum Pump?

The smog pump injected air in to the exhaust manifold to further oxidize any unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. It would make a lousy vacuum pump.
