Default 86 Camaro, which motor mounts?

Guys, I have been extensively searching for a write up on which motor mount kit would work for my 86 Camaro. I need the whole setup!

Didn't see complete setup on Holley. I'm using the 4l60e.

You buy the parts as needed, piecemeal. There are no "total kits". that way you only get what you need when you need it. It's not a big deal.

Could I use the 4.8/5.3 truck mounts? Or do it have to come off a ls car?

Late model 4L60e with a bolt-on bellhousing? So are you looking for an engine and transmission mounting solution? Combining the components are the only way the Hooker parts are going to give you benefits...the Hooker engine brackets won't work for you without also using the Hooker transmission crossmember with them.

The engine/trans is out a 03 Silverado DBW. I plan on using a modified crossmember, and was just looking for engine mounts.

How are you planning on anchoring the end of your rear suspension torque arm? Is your crossmember for a 700R4 in that car originally. If so, it will be a challenge to get it to pick up the mount of your 4L60 and provide exhaust system clearance. The mount location for the 700R4 is in the main case and in the 4L60 it's in the extension housing further back. Are you looking for engine brackets that work with the stock K-member, or an aftermarket K-member?

OK, since you are going to use your stock torque arm, you're going to need a way to anchor it since your truck 4L60 trans has no provision to accept the torque arm bracket that came with the stock transmission. The Hooker 3rd-gen engine mounting brackets and transmission crewmember will mount your engine and transmission and also provide an anchor point for your torque arm. I can't offer any help on products from other brands as I have no experience with them.

You'll need three specific part numbers for the install...the engine brackets-part number 71221003HKR, the transmission crossmember-part number 71222005HKR and the 4L60 adapter bracket needed for your specific transmission-part number 71223003HKR.

Is 71223003HKR the bracket that will hook to the torque arm?

If so, how does it attach to the transmission?

Go onto Holley's site and check out the parts. There are pictures. The arm will be attached to the crossmember #71222005HKR; your mounting problems are solved.
