Modded Engine Spark Plugs
If you had a bad experience with NGK then something was off, I have been using them 20 years and I have never had a single problem with them. Delco and Denso make great plugs too. I've had issues with every other brand at some point. I've been a tech for 20 years so I put lots of plugs in lots of cars...
I would run a tr55 at .040-.045 if it were mine
And to be honest, it would be fine if you ran anywhere from .040 to .060
Larger gap tends to help a little with idle smoothness, but I gap at .040 - .050 with LS motors depending on the needs of that vehicle/customer. If it's big power and boosted then close the gap a little more.
