i think my car isn't as loud as it should be
I have a 2000 Camaro ls1 with pacesetter headers with no cats and a true duals setup that is dumped before the axle. it does not have any x or y connections.
okay so i dont think its idle is as loud as it should be or when cruising around. do you guys think by adding a muffler would fix this or by letting the exhaust go over the axle?

I can't believe ANYONE is so stupid as to think ANOTHER muffler will make it LOUDER!

No, he specifically mentioned ADDING a muffler to make it louder. The man has NO clue as to how an exhaust system works, and by extension, how engines work.

On The Tree
Cut your pipes so they end just under the seats, now install some turn down ends on them . Turn the ends so they exit up at the floor . Remove the carpets and any sound insulation. Now sit back and enjoy the cacophony. Please refrain from stroking your adolescent little pecker while driving.

Does your car have any engine mods or just headers and straight pipes?
Maybe you are hearing cars that simply have a lot more motor, lots of LS1 cars have been upgraded to bigger LS engines or had the LS1 built well past stock with stroker kits and custom headwork etc.
