dorman ls6 intake 615-900 on my 98 ws6
Hey all
This is my first post here been reading this forum for years now and a lot of good info here.
I have a 1998 WS6 and I am just finishing a Hooker full length header and motor mount install and I have a Dorman LS6 615-900 intake at my shop and thought why not install it since I am already in there.
I have done several searches here and found some info but most of it is older and I know Dorman has the new LS2 intake but I already have a Dorman LS6 at my shop so I am going to use it.
Looks like I have to change coolant pipes, anything else I am missing for parts to complete the job.
I also have a Corvette factory LS2 laying around so I am going to use those 32# injectors on the Dorman LS6 ,I know they are shorter and different connectors so I already ordered the height adjusters and wiring connector adapters.
Any advice or parts needed for install would be greatly appreciated.
Also I own a Corvette C4 salvage yard here in Ga and have parted out over 300 C4 Corvettes so if I can help with anything feel free to let me know.

You just need the LS6 coolant crossover tube that you mentioned and you are good to go. Since you have headers installed you already addressed the fugly EGR tube I assume.
P.S. Be very careful to lift the brake booster hose over the oil pressure sensor and not to break it in the process.

Hi ss.slp.ls1 thanks for the reply
So far looks like I am going to leave the fugly and yes it is fugly EGR on the intake when I install it as the Hooker long tubes I installed had the emissions provisions on them.
Also thanks for the heads up on the oil pressure sensor since it is ridiculously overpriced fro what it is.
By the way I was able to find the Corvette Camaro LS6 LS2 Coolant Crossover Pipe Kit with rear block offs and the new part numbers are 12602544 12602540 on ebay new including shipping for right at $70.00
