Default New idea to quiet down an LM2

I have a Loudmouth 2 on the way, but I am just finishing up a h/c install, and I want to make this pretty quiet, since I'm also installing a cutout. I am specifically looking at keeping the LM2 as a resonator, and tossing a pair of bullets at the tailpipes.

I was wondering if anyone has done this before, because I know about the borla/magna/etc mouth muffler swap, but I am trying to aim for a quiet and relatively drone-free cruise, instead of just loud and proud. Thank you!

Almost forgot, I also have long tubes and no cats. I'm not naive, I know it'll be loud regardless, but I'd like to be able to leave my neighborhood at 3 am every now and again.

You won't have room. The MagnaMouth is your best bet. Magnaflow part #14419

Yep the Magnafow 14419 fits perfectly. That's exactly what I did

There's no way I can fit any muffler in place of the tailpipes? I plan on using different tips, so would it be that impossible to fit a pair of 12" or 16" bullets in there?

SLP Power-Flow would be the only option, but in my opinion it looks funky from the rear. Any short bullet you put back there, like a vibrant, isn't really going to do anything. I'm telling you, that Magnaflow bullet is the bees knees. She makes enough bass to set off car alarms in the parking garage with a stock cam, but doesn't sound harsh or rasp.

See if this is any help for you... I did a bit more, but in my opinion it was well worth it.

Thank you. I'll look into it.

You should put the cats on, or back on. We all like clean air. Thanks.

Cats will break up the sound some. A Flowmaster 1 chamber or bullet muffler would fit where the stock muffler would go.
