The slp didn't rob power. The SLP is straight through. Those moroso proflow or flowpro twister mufflers did though.

I can’t argue whether the slp rob power or not but I can tell you they are not straight through. If I remember I’ll take a pic tonight.

Thats what made me get the flopro. Do you have any numbers to back up that it lost power?

EDIT: oh I see, you are talking about the moroso flowpro, thats different then the flopro twister

Here is the story. I had one clamped to the end of my y pipe with a turndown on with and didnt have a hanger on it. It seemed pretty sturdy. Well half way down the track the bastard fell off. The seat of the pants difference was night and day. That was teh first pass of the night and I didnt put it back on. So from then on out I would take the muffler off before I went to the track.

Numbers? No. Seat of the pants yes. Its a big difference when you can actually feel it.

The moroso spiral flow and the pro flow twister might as well be the same muffler. Internal design nearly identical.

The SLP system I pictured is straight through. All SLP systems now are.

Ah spiral flow, thats the name I was looking for. The spiral flow just kind of throws exhaust everywhere, the spiral is not 1 uniform peice so instead of exhaust gas flowing through it, it gets thrown around. The flopro is 1 piece so the exhaust can go through the middle or go around the spiral, but it doesnt get just thrown around it has to follow 2 paths where in the spiral flow the spiral sections are in segments causing more turbulence.

I have no idea if the flopro really does better or not. I ran a 13.2 @ 106 with my 2.73 car with long tubes and a GM55 converter, slp lid. 2.0 60' and that was the fastest I went. Ive got a dynotune nitrous kit here waiting to go on, but I may do a NA run with a cutout to see if that flopro is hurting me or not.
