cam ls3 so i got a cammed ls3 98 camaro big cam. headers, catback but shitty custom y pipe that i know is restrive as hell.
my question is would a 3” mandrel bent y pipe give me significant gains or should i just go true duals?

well im going to hit the track this weekend and see what it does im under the impression its underperforming, then ill do the true duals and go run again. i barely got a new trans in so i havent eaced it much. but i lost to a 2018 5.0, bolt ons e85 tune with drag pack. it wasnt bad about 2-3 cars but i was sure i could beat him.

i did i did beat his 2015 before when i had ls9 cam this one 2018 has the 10 speed auto which is a pretty big deal. my buddy with a stage one ctsv pulled him but not as bad as you would hope

that 10 speed plays at the strenght of the 5.0 with the way the gears are set up. those run very low 12s stock. i beat a 2017 tuned bolt on 2017 ss when i had my old trans going out same camaro was gapping c6s. i beat his 2015 too. im hoping its my exhaust restriction also gonna do a bigger maf later on. my tunner says i need a 4k stall. im running 3k with 322 gears.

did a consistent 12.0 @ 115. could have had an 11 but i spun on last run then somebody crashed, so i left. 1.7 60ft. in the video you can hear the car bog down a little off the line its running a bit rich and needs bigger stall. currently 3k stall with 323 rear end. will post after i do full exhaust. would high flow cats hurt much?

its got be my exhaust and not proper gearing for my cam. ive always felt my car hasnt been running like it should sinc ei started on it. plus the guy with the 5.0 could have lied about mods last time i ran his 2015 he said it was exhaust 93 tune. but before he sold it a few weeks later he posted cams, 2018 intake, and a few more bolt ons he had on the 2015.
What cam are you using?
What headers and primary sizes?
What rear gear?
I may do an lq9 with ls3 top end and I’m trying to see what cam to go with?
I thought with a big cam and ls3 u need to rev it high ?

header primary was 1 5/8s, gears 3.22. with 3k stall it is a big cam i am running not specced out for my car just got it real cheap from my tunner i need bigger stall and gears to make the best of it. i just did 1 7/8 and true duals feels a little stronger ill have to hit the track to see how much it dropped. ill post cam specs when i get home in the morning
