Correct they grind our 3 signature cams the High Lift Hot cam the High Lift ASA cam and the TREX.

They will be grinding our new cam lineup soon also.

My friends wife DDs our High Lift ASA cam in a 98 a4 with trailblazer stall and 3.73s. She LOVES it. But itll break the back tires loose tryin to pass someone pretty easy lol.

Don't be afraid off bigger cam / 3600+stall. A great tunner can make a small cam seam big/ or a big cam feel small. Same goes with converter. I DD a tsp torqer V2 and love it. 232/234 .600/.600. cut on a 110lsa. You will regret going small in either department . And the feeling of (**** I shoulda went bigger) will always be there.....

Mavn has a toy to play with that's plenty healthy and also has a great tuner. For a true DD that is like stock mannered that cam isn't going to be in the same league as the Titan 2. I have the Titan 2 and for it's intended purpose, i.e. real stock like manners and driveability, that pulls to 7k, it really is a great cam.

BTR stage 2 or Titan 2 for a smooth daily driver. Stock bottom ends really can't take the 7000+ rpm of a larger cam due to oiling issues as per Ed Wright.

Melling's own flow charts (don't know how to link) show factory oe gen 3 & 4 oil pumps start to
Cavitate and lose flow by 6500 and its Significant @ 7000 RPM and above.
Improved Racing has the chart in their ported oil pump section of their website.

Gm didn't seem to mind letting the ls6 rev to 6800 and warranty it.

The question related to 7000 RPM+. Just providing Melling's Data. What you choose to do
with it is up to You. I would have a ported and polished/coated pump for 7000 and beyond.

Ah, I've been saying the cam in question, Titan 2, will rev to 7k. Over 7k didn't come up until a couple posts ago. Agree on over 7k needs a better pump.

How much is enough? How much is not enough? How many people turning 7500rpm on stock bearings for over twenty years now and never had a bearing failure related to rpm? Other than road racers on slicks in corners of course.
