Might be the EGR system. Has yours be removed?
Well actually, just went out and looked and that doesn't seem to be it. I also checked the coolant level sensor plug that I have unplugged and that's not it either.

I've seen that plug before, just gotta rack my brain and think...

I don't see that type of connection anywhere on my engine harness so I assume you have an older harness. I'm wondering if that plugs into the air box lid or in the bellow between the MAF and TB.

This. I have a 1998 Fornula and an in the process of putting engine back in car. TPS sensor and coolant temp sensor both use this connector. My seals are yellow and not purple but the plugs are the same size and style.

I cant seem to figure out what it is. It was attached to something on the passenger side of the car by the wheel well im assuming cruise or ac or something it's not the tps or maf or anything that's on the drivers side.

Just checked my 1998 V8 and it also uses this 3 pin connector right above the passenger side strut tower.

Motor is out of the car and I do have that connector. It goes to either the TPS or MAF. Been installing new cylinder heads this evening but I will verify which one in the morning and get back with you with pictures.

Yeah if its on the drivers side it's tps. Maf is 3-pin but straight connector not triangular.
