Default Fluid on PS reservoir... to replace or not to replace pump

Hey guys, I noticed some fluid on my power steering reservoir. The bottom of the pump and alternator are covered in ps fluid. Would replacing the pump help stop this at all?

Power steering works fine btw. No noise or anything. Car has 60k miles 02 Camaro ss.

I would check for leaks first, unless someone got sloppy and spilled fluid all over.....

in old age....the hose leaks....seals get brittle and stop sealing....the front seal on the shaft is the worse about getting old

consider a new hose and a reseal is my advise

You can get a reman for about 80-90 bucks with a reservoir. I just replaced mine, doing the same thing, shitting all over the alternator. In my case it was the pump, not the hoses.

I just had to replace my high pressure hose. Had to figure it out by having someone turning the wheel while I look for the leak.

Maybe this is not new info, but they all "sort of weep" a little bit when hot. I've had a ladies' scrunchie on my cap for years to catch the minor amount. Though, all over your parts certainly sounds like a big leak not the normal heat weep.
If you are really careful with a crows foot I think you can get the pressure hose off the top without taking the pulley off, but it's tight. Otherwise, you need to drain about 1 - 1.25 gallons of coolant, take off the hose, take off the hose support (comes off with a 90 degree twist), then take off pulley. If you take off the return hose, consider putting a little bit of sealant on the end of it when attaching back to the reservoir.

EDIT I should be specific and say: weep out the top cap.
