Default Need help with TB and oil pan

Hey all, I finally started my 1942 chevy rat rod build, my donor motor is a 2004 LQ4 from a chevy express 3500. can someone please shed some light on the drive by cable/ drive by wire situation for me? Right now I have a drive-by-wire throttle body and would like to replace that with a drive by cable version for simplicity.

My second question is, I want to replace my truck oil pan with a car one, I want to use a car pan because of possible clearance issues so can I use any gen III v8 car pan or is there only certain ones that will work?

can some one help me get pointed in the right direction? I have done some research but I am stumped right now.

ANY LS oil pan will fit as long as you use the correct pickup tube that goes with it. The DBW setup is actually simpler. Mount the pedal assembly, plug all the wires in where they go, and VOILA! you have the throttle hooked up.
