Default Corsa or TSP quad Cat-back exhaust.

Trying to figure out if I should go with Corsa or TSP quad tip cat back for my 02 Trans Am. Im thinking the TSP sounds better but appreciate the quality of the Corsa. I will eventually also do a set of Kooks long tubes, what do you guys think??

I have the Corsa clone 3.5 inch tips from SS clones and I think they look great.

I absolutely LOVE my TSP catback. I don't appreciate the fact that TSP didn't include rods to use the rear most hangers but it was about 20 bucks for the exhaust shop to add a couple for me. Took the whole muffler back section falling off for me to realize its not just a good idea but a requirement. Otherwise this exhaust is about the best sounding option. I would love to try a Corsa some day but at the price they go for I don't see it happening.

Id get the tsp 17/8 headers and the tsp true duals. It will absolutely blow both of them away in terms of sound and performance but it will be loud.

If you want it to be tame and quality I'd get the magnaflow catback 16723.

If you only had to choose between the two you gave, I'd save the money and get the tsp. It sounds good, fits good, looks good and costs less. You will be using tsp a lot in the future if the mod bug hits you no doubt. Also has a cutout. If you are rocking the Y pipe I would strongly suggest a flowmaster merge, from personal experience.

Default What cutout would u guys recommend with the TSP

Thanks for the feedback guys I’m going to go with the TSP and have an exhaust shop install additional hangers. Can anyone recommend a cutout with turndown? Ive been reading that the electric ones with pre-set full open and full close is the way to go but am having trouble finding a good option and the TSP site doesn't say how theirs works....

I run the TSP cutback with this cutout. As far as the turndown, I just used a stainless steel one. Everything fit perfect.

I think the Corsa sounds the most refined. The TSP has more of a crackle to it. The Madhammer(GMMG) would be the great if noise isn't an issue. If you want moderately quiet when cruising then Gibson is the way to go.

Well the tsp one has a built in cutout but it should be manual open close. I guess it also depends on the OPs primary goals. Is this a pure torquey street car? I'd honestly run a good catted Y and a hooker catback. If noise isnt a concern and you want to make power, you'd either have to go 2.5" - 3" true duals or a mufflex Y pipe with the 4" hideaway catback or just bullet after the Y and a turndown. These 3" catbacks aren't the best from a performance standpoint for our 450-500 crank hp engines. The cutout does nothing for us because we are still merging into a 2.75" pipe. Just makes more noise.

Speed engineering also sells headers and a true dual exhaust and you can get both for like under 800 bucks. All stainless. That's a good deal and I've used their stuff and it is not cheap and flimsy at all. The welds are not as nice as TSP but the added cost is up to you. You could also get the headers and dumped true duals from SE for like 600 total, those sound wicked but dumped/ota duals are very limited in muffler choices so no matter what it will be loud.

You could also go into a mufflex Y and add a 4" ecutout, reducer to 3" and add a quality catback. That would be cool since you can change the cars personality but the flip of a switch.
