08 Avalanche Hello 👋
I hope I’m posting this in the proper place but I have some questions about my build. I bought a 5.3 from a 05 z71 and I’m in the process of rebuilding it. It’s going to go into my 08 Avey (daily) I’m curious can i use the front cam sensor location of the gen 4 with a gen 3 block? I know it has to do with changing the cam gear and re using the front cover but I would love some clarification on exactly what I need to do? Any and all comments are appreciated.
if it matter I’ll be upgrading to a btr stage 2 truck cam

Whats wrong with the engine in the truck??
Just do the cam swap on the engine in the avalanche along with a DOD delete, then you have a ever so slightly better engine to start with.
