Default Cloudy dexcool, black stuff underneath the cap???

Okay peeps here goes...
01 138k miles on it with new radiator, factory ps pump and factory ps cooler, and my car is not smoking white, it’s not smoking at all. I opened up the radiator cap when it was cold and found this black stuff around the rubber gasket but the vehicle is not overheating it’s running just fine.
any ideas as to why the radiator fluid is cloudy?
im gonna flush the radiator and go from there...any other suggestions?
thanks!

it looks like you have some air in the system the dex cool turns into a gel like brownish black substance also an fyi don't use tap water only distilled water with the full strength dex cool unless get the prediluted 50/50 mix.

Most likely the power steering cooler. Get rid of it and flush the system.

The power steering cooler is in the upper radiator hose if you have a WS6 or SS. Replace with the base model radiator hose. You can add an aftermarket cooler to the power steering unit from Advance or Autozone for about $25.

Wasn't the power steering cooler standard on all LS models, not just the premium trims?

For example, my A4 Formula doesn't have one but my M6 does.

Huh, didn't know that. My Z28 M6 Vert had one, I thought I'd read somewhere that the v8 trims all came with one starting in 98. My bad.

Delete factory PS cooler, replace with a long hose, get yourself the 30$ derale power steering kit on amazon and do a good flush and call it a day.
