Terminator X MAP Sensor help!!!
TL;DR Can I use a 2 bar MAP sensor while telling the ECU that its a 1 bar?
In the instructions for Terminator X, it specifies "Terminator X base calibrations require using the GM (or parts store equivalent) 2.5 bar MAP sensor [12592525]. Failure to do so may cause engine damage", but at that exact same step in the set-up after selecting "No power adder", theres 3 MAP sensor options; "Integral 1 bar", "Holley 538-24" and "Holley SS 554-133". I'm not dyslexic but had to double take, none of those sensors looks like the '12592525'. I currently have a 2 bar installed right now (12580698) that plugs directly into the harness without an adapter pigtail (12592525 requires one) or mangling the EFI harness (both other listed 1-bar sensors require cutting and splicing and dicing). Instructions also say any sensor can be configured using the software. I have neither the software nor the CAN cable needed, I do have a 12592525 MAP sensor though.
She doesn't run super hot right now (the engine has less than an hour of run time) and I'm going through the variables to troubleshoot before driving any more. She dies at decel creeping to a stop almost every time if I don't give it gas, also on decel after free-revving in neutral/park. I want to take advantage of the self-learning feature and do as much as I can myself because $700 for dyno time is not up my alley.
