Trojan is right, i misunderstood the question and was talking about the intake manifold. i forgot your installing shorties/stock manifolds on your 68 swap.

1 last manifold question i asked earlier about if the 01-02 manifolds would work on any year ls1, but now i have another question. i am pretty sure yes, but i need to make sure. will z06 manifolds work on the 5.7 ls1? like i said i am pretty sure they will but i need to make sure before i spend the money lol! thanks again

you can physically use any exhaust manifold you want, trucks f-car or Y-car, on your conversion, all of the ls1's share the same head port spacing, so thats not in issue.
unless your doing a smog legal cali swap, then you won't have any problems with using any of the manifolds, its just a matter of what will fit in your physical engine bay
