Rebuilding a junkyard LQ4 and went to install stock flexplate and found these strange bushings/shims around the mounting holes. I was confused to find them threaded so went to chase with a tap and it immediately came out of this hole. Doesn't seem necessary but I wanted to check first?



You can see one hole with it knocked out and the other where it still remains?

 

Faint thread because of the bolts that were in there. Put it back in and bolt it up.
